Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting an Operations Manager for our client based in Maidstone. This is a full-time role for the successful candidate.
The overall purpose of the role is to oversee operations for ocean freight in the UK.
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
Salary - £50,000 Per Annum with a 6% Salary Bonus
Main duties:
* Oversee all operational aspects of office import & export.
* Close import and exports every month.
* Deal with any queries passed on by department supervisors.
* Assist with quotes and tenders where necessary.
* Build customer & supplier relationships.
* Maximise profit per job.
* Update sell rates on a monthly basis.
* 2 direct reports – import & export supervisors.
