If you're an experienced Housing professional or Money Mentor with previous experience providing person centred support/advice on one-to-one money mentoring/coaching and welfare advice.

As a Money Mentor you will work within our communities, delivering money mentoring and coaching to residents. You will develop and deliver partnership activities, workshops, and training events with the aim of promoting financial resilience and wellbeing amongst our residents. You will maintain accurate project records and produce detailed project reports. You will capture learning to share with project stakeholders and to help inform Southern Housing's wider approach to financial inclusion and mental health.
The location
You'll be based at the office in Farringdon OR Croydon with the option for working in a hybrid way when appropriate and as agreed with your manager. The role will involve extensive travel across our London estates, primarily in Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham.
What you'll have
•Proven knowledge of issues relating to debt, financial exclusion and welfare benefit systems
•Experience of providing person-centred support/advice and delivering one to one money mentoring and coaching sessions.
•Direct recent project teamwork experience.
•Experienced in working with disadvantaged communities.
•Direct recent experience of planning and developing workshops and session plans.
•Excellent records management and attention to detail.
•Experience working in Housing Associations
•Experience of delivering workshops and training via online platforms.
•Experience of delivering money mentoring sessions to both individual and group
• Ability to horizon-scan and identify potential opportunities for developing the project and/or risks that might threaten its success.
What you'll be doing
•Work alongside the health Connector to develop and deliver independent and collaborative activities including workshops and training events, including producing marketing materials, content and session plans as appropriate.
•Provide one to one money mentoring sessions.
•Deliver workshops to participants both online and in person as required.
•Work alongside the Health Connector to produce a toolkit supporting mental health and money matters.
•Works to ensure maximum attendance at all activities, workshops and events.
•Support the project's aims and objectives and assist in the production and maintenance of project plans.
•Undertake detailed monitoring and reporting on project outputs and outcomes and maintain accurate records consistently and on time, identifying any potential risks to the project's objectives and outcomes.
•Ensure all project monitoring requirements are adhered to and all learning (including risks and opportunities) is captured and recorded in a timely manner.
•Perform consistent impact measurements on project components, including undertaking financial health checks before, during and after, beneficiary engagement with the project's components to produce individual journey maps.
