Your new company
You will be joining a family owned, growing property group based in South London. They have built a reputation for their local expertise, and pride themselves on being a great place to work, having won several awards. Based out of lively, sociable offices, this group contains elements of real estate, property and financial services, with no two days being the same. This is an office based role.
Your new role
You will be joining in a newly created role, as the Financial Controller. Working closely with the Chief Executive, you will ensure accurate financial management of the group and be supportive of the company's growth. Managing a team of 4, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Management of company bank accounts, accountability for the lettings client account and required auditing.
* Monthly/quarterly/annual management accounts.
* Business partnering with division managers to analyse trends
* Variance analysis of actuals versus budget revenue and costs, advising how this impacts on cash flow and P&L. Sharing analysis with the Chief Executive and agreeing required actions.
* Timely statutory accounts preparation, VAT returns, taxation and submissions to Companies House for all companies in group
* Production of budgets and forecasts.
* Preparation and presentation of financials at board level
* Payroll lead for the group
* Accountability for the company insurances including tendering and management.
* Managing all company memberships including professional bodies, ensuring all subscriptions do not lapse.
* Oversee car fleet including finances
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), with experience in a similar role. You will be strong technically, and able to contribute to company growth by identifying commercial opportunities in analysis. You will have excellent communication skills, to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will be able to commute reliably to Beckenham 5 days a week.
